Privacy Statement
eo Financial Services Pty Ltd (eoFS) (ABN 57 103 181 844) (eoFS, we or us) provides services for superannuation trustees, company boards, employers and associations.
Our privacy obligations
eoFS has an obligation to comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Act) and the incorporated National Privacy Principles (NPPs) which regulate the appropriate collection, holding, use, correction, disclosure and transfer of personal information by private sector organisations.
eo Financial Services Pty Ltd and eo Pty Ltd
eoFS has an agreement with eo Pty Ltd (eoPL) (ABN 53 000 013 276) which provides financial services under Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) 232501. eoFS has an agreement with eoPL under which eoFS provides human and technical resources to eoPL. eoFS and eoPL are related companies and so are permitted under the Act to share personal information with each other, provided there is a common purpose.
eoFS and eoPL collect personal information on behalf of their clients, but are obliged to only collect and use information that is necessary for one or more of their functions or activities.
Why we collect personal information
The primary purpose for eoFS to collect personal information is to provide the following services to its clients: product development, secretarial, secretariat, management of regulatory compliance, general management, premises and monitoring of other third party service arrangements.
The primary purpose for eoPL to collect personal information is to provide general advice services.
What happens if we do not collect personal information
If we do not collect your Personal Information or if you provide inaccurate or incomplete information, eoFS and eoPL may not be able to deliver or complete services to its clients or to you on their behalf.
How we use, disclose and handle personal information
eoFS or eoPL may also disclose personal information to contracted third parties, only as necessary to provide services to our clients or on their behalf. eoPL and eoFS may also be required to provide information to government agencies such as the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA), Australian Taxation Office (ATO), the Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC) and Superannuation Complaints Tribunal (SCT) where expressly required by law.
Otherwise, personal information is only disclosed to individuals or their authorised representatives. You have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access and correct that information and the right to complain about any breaches of the Act.
We dispose of personal information with care, either shredding it or sending it for recycling where it is treated as confidential.
